Prospective investors may request an information package by phone or email. For inquiries by phone, please call (402) 933-0115.

CAN ANYONE GET AN INVESTMENT PROPOSAL?

We encourage anyone who is seriously considering hiring a portfolio manager to request an investment proposal. However, we reserve the right to not write a proposal (or to withdraw a proposal) if we feel a person is not financially qualified or committed to a long-term relationship with our company or if that person does not agree with the guiding principles of our firm.

WILL YOU GIVE ME ADVICE ON ALL MY ASSETS EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT MANAGING THEM?

We will consider all of your household assets and accounts when building your financial plan. We may offer advice on policies or accounts not initiated by us if that falls under our review.

WILL YOU ACCEPT STOCKS, BONDS, AND MUTUAL FUNDS THAT I TRANSFER IN?

We can accept securities that are transferred into your account. This is something we can discuss and review during our meeting process. Our responsibility is to manage your portfolio to the best of our ability.

You may hold investments aside inside your portfolio. However, if the customization of your portfolio becomes too cumbersome, Riedmiller Wealth Management may ask that you move that to a separate account which we can assist with.

Investment Strategy

AM I INVOLVED IN THE DAY-TO-DAY PORTFOLIO DECISIONS?

Each portfolio follows a predetermined investment strategy. The portfolio you choose will largely be based on your goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, and financial situation. You are hiring Riedmiller Wealth Management to manage your accounts day-to-day according to your customized financial plan, which can be updated as your life and goals change in the future.

HOW WILL I KNOW A TRADE HAS OCCURRED IN MY ACCOUNT?

Charles Schwab will notify you by mail or email each time there is a trade in your investment account. All trades are conducted in accordance with your written Investment Policy Statement. You do not need to contact anyone when you see a trade has been made. Please contact us if you have a question about a trade.

HOW DO YOU SELECT ONE FUND OVER ANOTHER?

No two indices are created equal, and no two index funds or ETFs are managed in the same way. We analyze the underlying structure and range of each fund to find the ones that best represent each asset class in a portfolio. We may also look at a number of other factors when making any portfolio decisions.

DO YOU PUBLISH THE PAST PERFORMANCE OF YOUR STRATEGIES?

As fiduciaries, we adhere to the strictest performance reporting standards. Each client has access to reports displaying the performance in each of their managed accounts.

Asset Transfer & Withdrawals

HOW DO I TRANSFER ASSETS?

When you are ready to invest with Riedmiller Wealth Management, our service team will create an account with our custodian, Charles Schwab. Rest assured, we will aid you in this simple process, sending you all paperwork required to open accounts and transfer assets to Charles Schwab.

Once this account has been set up, your assets can then transfer seamlessly. From start to finish, the entire process is typically 5-7 business days. However, for some assets, depending on the type of security can take up to several weeks. Our team at Riedmiller Wealth Management will keep you up to date as your transfer progresses.

Typically, we do not hold securities in our portfolios that do not align with the Market Guard® investment strategy. However, we understand many of our clients may have securities that would realize a taxable gain if sold. You can hold these other stock positions inside your portfolio if needed. However, if it becomes too cumbersome to manage those positions, Riedmiller Wealth Management reserves the right to ask that those positions be moved to a separate account.

HOW DO I WITHDRAW ASSETS?

Clients may choose to withdraw money from a managed account at any time, either by automatic cash transfer or by mailing a traditional paper check. Once a bank link has been established, automatic cash transfers can move money electronically from your Charles Schwab account directly to your checking account. This process takes between 24–72 hours, and the transfer is completed at no cost via Charles Schwab’s secure process.

Statements & Reports

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE CHARLES SCHWAB STATEMENTS AND REPORTS?

In addition, trade confirmations are sent by Charles Schwab whenever Riedmiller Wealth Management conducts a trade in an account. At the end of each year, clients will receive a 1099 from Charles Schwab for any reportable or taxable event. The Charles Schwab website offers an array of daily print-on-demand reports that you may download at any time. Clients may elect to receive Charles Schwab account statements and reports electronically rather than by standard mail, which is highly encouraged in order to reduce paper waste.

Security & Privacy

DOES ANYONE AT RIEDMILLER WEALTH MANAGEMENT HAVE ACCESS TO MY MONEY?

Riedmiller Wealth Management has limited power of attorney to do three things:
1) Trade securities with discretion based on your financial goals.

3) Be paid a management fee from the account based on the contract rate.
We have no other access or authority.

HOW IS MY PRIVACY PROTECTED?

Riedmiller Wealth Management complies with all privacy laws affecting financial institutions. When you open your account, you will receive a Privacy Statement that outlines this responsibility in detail. These standards are regularly reviewed to ensure they cover all forms of communication. Briefly, we will not release any information to any person who is not directly named on your account unless we have your permission to do so, with the exception of legal and regulatory authorities.

HOW DOES A REGISTERED INVESTMENT ADVISOR DIFFER FROM A BROKERAGE FIRM?

Registered Investment Advisors are in the investment management business and are monitored closely by specific regulatory agencies. In contrast, brokerage firms are primarily in the financial product sales and distribution business and are regulated by FINRA. As an Investment Adviser Representative of a Registered Investment Advisor, we have a higher level of fiduciary responsibility than brokerage firms. We are required by law to work in our clients’ best interest. Our fee is based on assets under management (AUM) rather than the brokerage model that is tied to the sale and distribution of financial products.
